Landform Project
The students will choose 3 types of landforms and research them.
What is it?
Where can they be found?
How are they made?

Geography: Landforms
We started a new unit in geography on landforms. For the next few weeks we will be talking about mountains, plains, valleys, canyons, plateaus and volcanoes.

Completed Medieval Times Posters
The class completed their medieval times posters and presented them to the class today. They had to explain the significance of each picture they had. Everyone did a great job!

Persuasive Writing
We have started a new unit on persuasive texts. Our learning goal for this unit is, "I can write a persuasive text." We looked at several persuasive texts today and the students identified commonalities between each essay. They then constructed success criteria for writing a persuasive text. Take a look!

Spinner Fun!
The students were experimenting with probability today. They coloured a spinner with three sections one colour and the fourth section a different colour. They figured that they should spin the three sections the same colour 75 out of 100 times. Did that happen?

Inferencing - Riding the Tiger
We read a story called, Riding the Tiger. It was about a boy named Danny who decides to take a ride on a tiger but when he decides to get off the tiger won't let him. The students are to work in groups to answer these questions:

Probability Predictions vs. Actual Results
During math class today the students learned about predictions in comparison to the actual results. We did a Smartie experiment where the students guessed how many of each colour were in the box. Once they opened it, they were able to compare their predictions with the actual amount. After they graphed their results.
Medieval Times: Show What You Know
Students are to create a Medieval Times poster including at least 6 different things they learned as well as a brief explanation of each. They will then be asked to present their poster to the class.
Grade 7 Geography: Mr. Seal
